About Youth Education in the Arts

Our Mission is to support the development of young people into magnificent human beings through participation in the performing arts. We achieve this through our program offerings that allow students to perform at the highest level possible.

History

Founded in 1990, Youth Education in the Arts affords young members the opportunity to participate in prestigious events across the country. In addition to their regularly scheduled competitions, showcases and recitals, YEA! students have performed with recording acts such as Shania Twain and Destiny's Child, appeared on MTV, the Late Show with David Letterman and the Today Show, as well as being featured performers in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and members of the 2009 Inaguaral Parade. YEA! has also provided ensembles for professional sports teams including the New York Jets, New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets.

In the organization's remarkable history, YEA! performers have had the unique experience to appear at the Summer Olympic Games, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the World Cup and other notable national and international sporting events.

While amassing a long and storied tradition, YEA! groups have been recognized as World Champions in various disciplines. Hundreds of members have had the experience of winning gold medals for their performances through hard work and dedication to their craft.

YEA! looks to the future and the difference made in the lives of thousands of young people each year. Through the programs of YEA! young people gain an edge as they learn to cooperate, set goals, work hard and understand what it takes to be successful.
