USBands Weekend Recap: 3/10

This weekend was jam packed with indoor color guard, woodwind, and percussion competition as USBands hosted not one, but two events. Taking place at Westhill High School in Westhill, CT and Bridgewater-Raritan High School in Bridgewater Township, NJ, groups from across the Northeast took the floor in competition.

At Bridgewater-Raritan, Brick Township High School Guard took the highest score in the Color Guard - Scholastic Novice with a score of 75.960 while Bridgewater-Raritan Color Guard to the highest score in Color Guard - Scholastic A with a score of 71.460. Riverside High School Indoor Guard followed up with a score of 64.420. In Indoor Percussion - Standstill A, Ridge High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble earned a score of 73.800 to take the top spot in the group, with the Delaware Valley Renegade Drumline earning a score of 67.300 and Somerville High School Percussion earning a score of 64.900. Roxbury High School Percussion took the top spot in the Indoor Percussion - Marching Regional A with a score of 82.900, while Bergenfield High School Indoor Percussion followed close on their heels earning an 80.250. In the final group of the day, Edison High School Percussion took the top spot of 81.300 while West Milford Percussion earned a very close second spot with a score of 81.200 in the Indoor Percussion - Marching A. Bayonne High School Percussion rounded out the group with a score of 69.700.

Meanwhile over at Westhill high School, the Bunnell-Stratford Indoor Guard earned a score of 72.320 in the Color Guard - Scholastic A group for a first place finish. Not far behind were the Brien McMahon A Guard with a score of 69.350 and East Haven High School Color Guard with a score of 63.840. In the Color Guard - Scholastic Novice group, the Danbury High School Color Guard earned the top spot with a score of 51.820. In the Scholastic A Winds category, the Danbury Winter Winds closed out their portion of the competition with a 66.000. Earning a score of 82.450 in the Indoor Percussion - Marching Regional A, Nutley Indoor Percussion was the group to take the cake. Rounding out the group was Brien McMahon Percussion earning a score of 71.100. In the group of Indoor Percussion - Standstill World, Bunnell-Stratford Indoor Drumline earned a score of 76.500 as the sole competitor. Rounding out the competition for the day was the four ensembles in the Indoor Percussion - Marching A. Westhill High School Winter Percussion, Stamford High School Winter Percussion, Cheshire Winter Percussion and Danbury High School Winter Percussion earned scores of 84.150, 80.600, 75.000 and 66.900 respectively.
